He, and everyone at the 8K mark at that time, will start the hike down picking up students on the way.

STUDENT SPOTLIGHT

For those of you I have not met, I’m Bradley and I am a 3rd year dental student at USC. I grew up in the windy city of Chicago with my parents, sister, and twin brother. I graduated from University of Iowa with a B.S. in Health and Human Physiology, with minor degrees in psychology and entrepreneurial management. In my free time you’ll find me traveling, learning new activities, and exploring different places.
USC has provided me with the opportunity to travel to Thailand and Fiji and provide free dental work for those who have little or no access to dental care. What I love most about traveling internationally is being able to experience different cultures, customs, and traditional foods. This year, I hope to partake in another international trip, as they are truly eye opening and gratifying.
Since moving to Los Angeles I’ve really had fun learning photography, yoga, beach volleyball, surfing, and however weird, spouting fruit plants from their seeds. So far I have sprouted avocado, pineapple, orange, lemon, and mango plants. All of which are basking in my yard waiting for their first fruit.
I also love exploring, staying active, and broadening my bubble beyond the scope of dental school. I’ve hiked, biked, ran or skied in some beautiful places, my favorites being Vail, Estes Park, and Aspen, CO, Yosemite, Big Sur, and Malibu, CA, Interlaken and Zermatt, Switzerland, Barcelona, Spain and Lake Taupo, New Zealand.
As for this scholarship, I am excited to run Black Star Canyon for my 3rd consecutive year. Its a great opportunity to connect with faculty, compete with classmates, and enjoy the mountain air. I wish everyone luck hiking faster than Dr. Eggleston and running faster than Dr. Parish. They won’t make it easy! I’ll see you all at the top!
Be safe, and fight on!
